Specialist occupational therapy for children and young people
Our story
Sensphere founder, Founder & Lead Occupational Therapist
Sensphere was founded to give families and schools the kind of occupational therapy too few children get to access. We offer calm, neurodiversity-affirming support that takes sensory, motor, and self-regulation needs seriously. Years across NHS and school settings made one thing clear: bright, capable young people often wait too long, or come home with reports their families can't put into use. Sensphere exists to close that gap.
Our practice is evidence-based and unhurried. Assessments take the time they need. Recommendations are practical, written for the people who will use them: parents, teachers, and SENCOs. Goals are agreed up front, follow-through is shared, and progress is visible across home and school.
Good therapy looks a lot like good listening, done patiently, written down clearly, and followed through with care.
At Sensphere, we believe that every child and young person has unique strengths and abilities. Our approach is built on core values that guide everything we do:

We put the child or young person at the heart of everything we do, listening to their views and preferences.

We focus on what children and young people can do, building on their existing skills and interests.

We celebrate neurodiversity and work in ways that respect and support different ways of thinking and being.

We work closely with families, schools and other professionals to create a supportive network around each child or young person.
Occupational therapy helps children and young people participate in the everyday activities that matter to them. These "occupations" include:
If a child or young person finds these activities challenging, an occupational therapist can help identify why and work with them, their family and school to develop practical strategies and support.
We believe that the best outcomes happen when everyone works together. Here's how we approach collaboration:
We start by understanding your concerns, your child's strengths and what matters most to your family.
We work with you to set clear, meaningful goals that reflect what you and your child want to achieve.
Our recommendations are practical and realistic, designed to be used in everyday life at home and school.
You'll receive a written report with clear recommendations that you can share with schools and other professionals.
Sensphere's clinical team is led by a qualified, HCPC-registered occupational therapist. Families, schools and commissioners can review professional registration and qualifications below.
